New Game Needs Members

OK, I've been playing HOI2 for a couple years but just started online, So I would like to know if anyone would be interested in playing one of the new Armageddon scenarios, I was thinking the one where no one is allied or in war...... I never see people playing it so I figured maybe someone would like to, so just name the nation you wanna be and ill start a list, The time really doesn't matter to me so put down what times you can play with the time zone, and which days.

My rules are simple, we will have no war for until 39, that was nations can build there own alliances and there own navy.

I would like this thread to run for a few days before we play, it would be nice to get a full house, and please don't sign up if you cant play at least a couple days a week, hopefully more, time is negotiable based on what time the others wanna play.

Hmm.. I have actually been considering just such a scenario. Depending on what days you play I could be interested in the libertadores(sp?).

I'll join up for an Abyss scenario. There have actually been several organized Abyss games on the forums that played out pretty well. I'd like to go for Indonesia.

In regards to your rule about war though - it's kind of moot since the AI dow's rather quickly and alliances form in a flurry.

My availability is open to whatever right now as well.

Again, imo, there are just too many variables to worry about such a rule. Why not just use the tools available in the game to handle such issues? i.e. I have to DoW on my neighbor, who is allied to you which means we will be at war even though you're on the other side of the globe. If you like, we can broker a non-aggression pact between us after the DoW as I have no interest in attacking you.

Whether you believe in roleplaying or not, options like this are quite easy to accomplish. In this case it would be similar to EU and Victoria where a nation simply dishonours it's alliance with another nation after being attacked.

about the alliances, my friends and i have already attempted this and it is extremely difficult to create an alliance between nations that to not share the same ideology. its quite complicated and i don't want to take the time to explain the whole thing mostly because i don't understand why they made it so damn hard. the best way would be to get someone to make a mod that allows nations to ally anyone they want regardless of their ideology.

nevertheless, i would be interested in joining this game as the republic of china. i live in cali so my timezone is pacific and i work as well, usually until at least 8pm, so i'm free most nights and on my days off.

edit: i've found that it is better to play the armageddon scenario because since everyone starts with a border infantry the initial invasions are much easier to deal with, whereas if you are a nation that has alot of enemies around (china prussia, russia, etc...) the abyss scenario can be VERY difficult to maintain a solid border.

Yes I was also playing a ABYSS last night and I figured out that I cant keep the game from declaring total war, (even on coward) within 1 month it was World War, so if anyone would like to take the liberty of designing some form of mod to allow for alliance or something please let me know......NOTE TO PARADOX.... RE-MAKE THOSE SCENARIOS TO HARD TO PLAY MULTIPLAYER!!!!!!!

Unless someone can tell me a way we could have a fun game without having to Mod let me know, because I'm the USNA and on ABYSS I start with like 16 divisions on Washington DC and if the Mexico people declare war on me they can take the whole west coast before I can even get troops or deploy troops over there.

So, unless we can discuss something, i have no idea what to do, maybe we can pick a time to all meet in the game chat to discuss ideas....

i already said. you just play the armageddon scenario. everyone will still declare war on you, but at least you have soldiers on every border province. it at leave provides you with a basic fighting force and then you can build and deploy as you see fit. in my RoC game right now, i've conquered Japan and am conquering india and at a stalemate with siam and its all because i had forces to start me off and i build up my army from there.
