after 2 month absence, i´m really hungry to play a long multyplayer game in eu2. i think there are enough interested people for that and so i hope i find 5-6 players for playing. i´m glad to see archduke and lord ganja again and i hope that there are the first 2 men who wants to join. if there are interested gamers PLEASE write it down in the forum.

I have never played MP EU2 before but I have played a ton of SP and have been reading over the AARs in this forum.

I am perfectly prepared to dedacate a significant amount of time to a long term game, even if I don't do very well in the begining.

I would like to join. I currently play in the "Dedicated European Game" but as Brandenburg I came in late. This time I want to be in from the start, preferably as OE. What is your time zone Eliasar, CET I assume? I'm in CET, and I don't want to join an american game. I guess we have to agree to some rules, and what campaign, later. I suggest 1492 for a more balanced start.
I have ICQ, but not here, and I haven't a clue about the number.
 
Eager to join too. But we need two things:

A stable host and a country setup. Personally I think we need Portugal, Spain, France, England, Austria and Ottoman Empire from the beginning at least. Portugal can switch lateron to Holland or Russia. If we find a stable host we could play with more people.
I would like play France, Spain or Austria.

ICQ should be in my profile or somewhere but I will post it lateron in here.
 
I would prefer to play in 1492 as well, makes for a more interesting game I belive. As I am an american player I probably should not host however I believe my connection is stable.

I will be on Tues at around 18:00 GMT icq me if you want to get a game going.
 
1419 vs. 1492

I think both scenarios are great, depending on what type of game you want to play.

If you like to play a minor and build up an empire "from scratch" (which I do!:D), 1419 is excellent.

But if you like to play a major power and all, 1492 (which I also happen to enjoy!;) ) is a lot better.

Currently, I must admit that I'm a bit tired of 1492 since that's the one that are almost always played in mp.
 
ok great that there are some interested players. i support the opinion of archduke that we must find first a stable host. perhaps there is anybody who in our groupe who has a very stable connection. the next problem is that we must decide how often we want to play and on which days.
i prefrere too the scenario age of exploration but this will not be the problem more the decision about the playtime and who is the host.
i propose that each person say 1 or 2 days and a time for playing and of course the nation. i think like archduke that we need Portugal, Spain, France, England, Austria and Ottoman Empire. so please say your favorite nations.(my are 1.austria 2. england)

i hope that we find very fast a decision so that we can start in 1 or 2 weeks.

Wednesday and Sunday evenings are best for me. My preferable nations are 1. France , 2. Spain.
 
I prefer tuesday and sunday evenings, but we can discuss this further. I can try to host one day, maybe I, Eliasar and TheArchduke can make a short test session. My connection is good, but I'm not sure my 600 MHz computer will do. I would like to play OE. My ICQ is in my profile, but I'm away till monday evening.
 
the idea with the test session is a good idea. perhaps we can try it in the middle of the week tuesday or wednesday i think.then each one can play one time as a host .so we see who has the best connection.i propose we make it tuesday evening so 8:00 gmt but we can do it also another time. i hope more people wants to join the game, perhaps lord ganja, ackron and hive but there is no reponse of them. :( :(
 
ok i think its better if we make the testgame another day, perhaps at the weekend or next tuesday.it makes no sense if we are only 2 players. we must find more players before we make a test game so 5-6 gamers. so i hope that more interesred players wants to join our game and write something down in the forum.

Seems not so good to have two threads that have very un-informative titles. If we want to continue looking for people i suggest we get a new one with something like '1492/AgeofExpl' and 'European/CET/GMT' in it - if that is what we wan't. Then Eliasar can remove these two old threads to avoid confusion.
So far Eliasar, Ackron, TheArchduke, Lord Ganja, Hive and mnorrefeldt have been interested. We could wait until we're 8 since people tend to drop out when it's actually starting
 
Hello

Im currently in a 1492 campaign, dedicated European Game, being played mon, wed, thur 20.00-23.00 GMT. If you will play during any other time than this I could think of joining this game. Country/scenario is less important than a stable host in my opinion. I have a stable computer and a good cable connection but Im not able to host. My ICQ is in my sig.

BTW the DEG campaign is looking for a Russian player if anyone of you want to warm up before this campaign get started. Dont mean to steal players away but I know how hard it is to get a game started so it might take some time before we are actually playing.

I have a compilation of house rules taken from the forums and to some extent from the MCG experience. I could post them here once we are getting closer to start. Also we need to decide on 1.05 or wait for 1.06. I dont think its a good idea to change patch once the game starts.
 
I'm afraid I won't be joining this campaign after all. After having talked with mnorrefeldt (damn hard to spell!:D ) on ICQ, I found out that u will be playing with house rules. Since I don't like playing with such rules, I'll drop out. I kinda understand why you want such rules, but it's just not my cup of tea.:D
