From which file is the leader info drawn at the beginning of a new game? Is that file the only one to which I need to add new leaders? Naples has no country-specific leader file, as in leaders.nap. Should I create such a file with Wordpad and put it in the folder with the other countries’? I get the impression that permanently adding new leaders involves changing more than one file.

I added leaders to a new country once just by making a leaders.whatever-country-u-want. U have to make xure u use unused ids though. Trial and Error.

Drama—dilemma.

Into which files did you insert the leaders you created?

The leaders' id numbers are distributed on a chart called HistoricalLeaders.xls in the x:...Europa UniversalisDBLeaders folder. All the leaders in numerical order, about half the rows filled up, between 0001 and 0900. There are plenty of blank slots there.

I want to add a new country to that list. Does anyone know where in the HistoricalLeaders.xls file the leaders of a new country should go? In between two existing countries, I assume, but in any special order relative to the original countries?

I am trying to add Naples; they are one of the few (<10) countries without leaders.
