Adds a new starting mini-campaign consisting of two Flashpoints, It Came From The Rim and The Death's Mask, originally made for the Hyades Rim mod (which will add it on an upcoming update).

If you completed both FPs and are wondering about *no spoilers*, it will only last for 90 days (you should understand what I mean, if not, just ask).

This mod is beta - the third and final Flashpoint, Horse Latitudes, will be added later.

Available at Nexusmods - requires all BattleTech DLCs.

Stand alone version - does not require any other mod to be played. Can be played using either HBS's mod loader or ModTek.

Using this mod with other mods, and specially the large mod packs, may cause unforeseen effects - use them together at your own risk. If you wish to report a bug, please test it first without any other major mods enabled.

great ,,,, thanks for the job ..... is this mod compatible with any other mod out there such as Advance 3062 or BEX

while his mods are written with 3025/lostech in mind i have used them and enjoyed the frak outta them in BTA and BEX CE.
 
Just a tip: if you have installed my two previous FPs, it is possible that the new mini-campaign won't appear at start since the game has a limit of five active FPs and there will be 6 possible starting FPs (Raven and Hatchetman FPs, Black Widow mini-campaign and the three new FPs).

If you want to make sure that you'll get all of them, you can manually edit SimGameConstants.json using Notepad (make a backup first in case you mess up) and change this setting:
"MaxActiveFlashpoints" : 5

ABout an hour later.....

So started a brand new career after a bit of a false start.
Started with a Shadowhawk, Vindicator , Cicada (uhg) and a pair of Flea's. Got an ASN-21 from the fell off the cargo ship opening event with a UAC-5 which promptly got stuffed into the Hawk and a along with a Coil M which went into the Assassin (pulled the LRM 5 and ammo, replaced with a second SRM-2 remaining tonnage went into armor). Left the Cicada and a Flea in the bay for the first run. Minimal damage but no rest for the wicked. Vindicator and Flea got shot up pretty bad first go round so subbed in the Cicada and the other Flea. Won it, but gonna have mechs in the shop for a bit.

A little down time getting repairs done, nice loot. Off to the next one!

No spoilers here but as usual not to shabby! And I like the story... Well done Hobbes!

Off to part II and beyond!

Downloaded - I am probably too far into my current career for this FP using Heavies still have pleny of mediums but since I do not go for score I never kept any light mechs.
Will probably need to wait until I start a new career to try this.
Could use a small spoiler - can I play this FP with Med mechs or does it require actual light mechs?

You can do it with Mediums. All my FPs so far have a 200t total limit, max 75t for individual 'Mechs.

There's only two options available to indicate tonnage requirements: Light or Heavy, so Light does not mean that you actually need Lights.

My original idea for the mini-campaign was to drop the total limit to 160t, max 55t individual Mechs but the storytelling evolved in a different direction than planned. But I still have in my plans to make FPs that will require 'lights'.
 
Hobbes ran into an issue.. final mission. target objective not appearing.. no messages such as "he got away" or anything.

went and looked at the mission files noted mech type.. checked and noted the mech is not in the flash point files.. might be the isse.

grabbing appropriate files from the hyades rim mod and dropping them in the mech and chassis folders,

let ya know if it fixes it in a moment more.....

(a few more moments later) yep that fixed it!

Fixed. Thanks a lot for the bug report, didn't remember to add that 'Mech from the Hyades Rim main mod.
 
Sorry I am new at this - to patch do I just redownload the mod and replace the one in the mods folder?

QUESTION: How long does the low morale last after losing three mechwarriors to plague? I completed It Came from the Rim, got the Assassin-DM. When leaving the planet I chose ask for help option & lost three mechwarriors to plague. I have Beta Pod built & all morale mods built that are allowed . Morale is at 9 until I get Gamma Pod built & open options for new morale upgrades. Reason for asking is I cannot get many mechwarriors due to my morale being below 10!

Help!!!
 
There isn't a time limit for the morale drop.
Do you have a save before the event took place? I'm gonna reduce slightly the morale drop.

Finally morale is on the rise. Saturday my morale climbed to 17. I did buy two Com-systems +++ (4 resolve). I am running BEX-3025 CE with your three Flash Points installed. Successfully completed It Came From The Rim. Love that Assassin. Got my butt kicked on Jinxed, all I had was two Vulcans, two Firestarters, & a Locust. Got my butt kicked in round 3 of The Periphery is a Harsh Mistress round 2 was HARSH.


Round 2 - 4 Marauders 1st lance, 2nd lance Vulcan 2T, Rifleman, Stalker, & a light or med. My Lance Firestarter (2 M Lasers, 2 SLasers 4 MGs & 600 armor), Vulcan -2T (AC2, 4 S Lasers, & max armor) Assassin-DM, & an Archer-2R

A Great set of Flash Points.
