Hey all!

Im a good SP player (at least I think so :D ), but never played MP.

What more to say - I'd like to!:)

I have CTD problems with june beta + minifix, but I'll try the latest beta and then probably ask some advice if not solved yet (I guess the prob is with my graphics card, so could be reinstalling some drivers or simply changing graphics prefs for CK).

So, while Im busy solving them, I'd like to arrange for a game.

Players:
All accepted, but preferably not the aces of the game (I will take everyone in, but if the game is full and someone wants to join, I'd probably ask the veteran to empty his seat, I hope it's no problem and mean no offense, just want a bit of balance).

count: 3-8 (I'd like at least three, reasons read below)

campaign - 1066

Flavour:
I'd like to play a Byzantine Inner Struggle game. Let me elaborate:
- Byzantium has been reknowned for its inner struggle, intrigues and sometimes even civil war which eventually led to it's fall to more united enemies.
- at 1066 scenario there are 3 established powerful families or 'houses':
The Doukid house
The Komnenoi house
The Paleologai house (this is the smallest, but still it has 2 duchies for the father and son).

So the game rules:

1.Players will be choosing first which house they want to join and then which titleholder to play:
Doukids:
Michael Dukas (Prince of ?, forgot  )
Ioannes Dukas (Prince of Nikomedia)
Isaakios Dukas (prince of Strymon, if I remember his name wrong)

Komnenoi:
Alexios Komnenus (Prince of Kappadokia)
Isaakios Komnenus (Prince of Antioch)
? Komnenus (forgot the name, but he is the Prince of Sinope)

Paleologai:
The father
The son
(And again my bad memory, but they both can be found in the soutwestern part of Greece)

2.Players may not play the emperor - this is very important and RP point - we will all be trying our best to put our dinasty member as emperor and fix his (AI) mistakes.

3.If a player becomes the emperor, he must pick a successor from his family (a person from court) and give that person at least one county and one duchy title, save the game and start as that person.
It is forbidden to give the count of byzantion and the title of emperor itself to that person. If the county of byzantion is taken by someone not in the empire or by someone from whom you can't revoke the title (remark - if any of the teams hold the byzantion count, they must immediately arrange to give it back to the emperor if he requests or be ready to give back it next time when some of the human players becomes an emperor if AI never requests it), then it's the richest (best total output at the exact moment) province in the imperial demesne.

4.The game goal is to take the imperial title (ensure one of your 'house' holds it) and hold it as long as possible. The game will be saved each time the emperor changes, thus after the game we will be able to count for how long each 'house' has held the title.
The house with the biggest throne holding time will be the victor.

5.At the endgame of CK period (1419) we will be converting this to EU2 for continuation (hope by that time King Of Men's converter will be even better than now) and there will be event called 'imperial disintegration'.
Basically everyone will pick kingdom titles currently held (those who will be possible to create will be created) by the emperor and the house who helds the throne at that moment will get to pick first (although they will already have one pick done by default - byzantium).
Picking will happen in 'rounds' where each team will pick one title per round until all titles done.

6.Specific rules regarding the emperorial orders and such:
- one must unquestionably accept all imperial AI orders except if emperor requests you to give up your last demesne province or primary title.
- one is allowed not to mobilise his troops upon AIs demand, but he must at the same moment mobilise his host and lead them in battle against territorically closest (or whatever makes most for imperial good) threat himself and may disband the host only upon the ending of that particular war.
Say if emperor is at war wirth Seljuks and Fatimids, you must raise troops and kill all Fatimids, then you can disband your host, if emperor requests again, you go for Seljuks.
- one is not allowed to grab/usurp any titles within empire
- one is not allowed to grab/usurp/create any king titles.
- one is not allowed to take options in event prompts which would trigger disloyalty to emperor or leaving empire (we're all good imperial officials, who compete for the power in empire! :) )
- one is not allowed to not change the ruling laws to represent the ones of empire (this one is discussable!)
- one must never fiddle with succession laws - they must stay as they are (I think it adds flavour, but discussable)

7. probably some more if I think up or you propose..:)

8.General notes:
As one might notice, the least challenging is probably the Doukid dynasty, thus I'd really like players to be honest about their skills and the most skilled ones take Paleologai, then Komnenoi, then Doukids.

9.Time and day of week will be chosen as compromise between the signed up players. Thus you should post something like this

GMT +2
any sunday - thursday
20:00 - 3:00 (at timezone mentioned above)

Any takers?
Opinions welcome even if you don't plan to participate, maybe Im just too drastic or illusional about those rules.

As I reckon by the end of the game emperor will be holding pretty much titles, comes edition on this rule:

'One may only grant one duchy title (except duchy where the capital resides) and all the counties belonging to that duchy currently in the imperial demesne'

So to say, if you become the emperor, you will have to start gathering your titles anew to eventually be elected again.
