Yes, I would also like to know if Core works with 1.06 or not. If not how long before a compatible will be released.

Only one way to find out... install the patch, reinstall CORE and try it.

unfortunately I am still at work 2. The grandiose schemes of world conquest.... oops got to get back to work.
It is not compatible at all, you'll have lots of problems. Of course with the text.csv, but also with ministers, leaders and some events that use commands whose properties have changed.

Another CORE fan in anticipation. The new patch is pretty impressive on its own, but CORE is just hand over fist better then Vanilla I think, .71 is great stand alone on 1.05c.
I started up vanilla with 1.06 and peeked at the US and got pie eyed at the 0 dissent and 1200 manpower to start...

My guess would be 2-3 weeks at the earliest. From the 1.06 change log, I anticipate having to do a lot of review and tweaking to get things back in order. Plus we'll have to reconcile some changes made to the various csv files (province and text mainly).

AFAIK, McNaughton's counters are in. If not in the update to 1.06, then in 0.8.
I am trying to update my 1.05c game with CORE to 1.06 with CORE. I have figured out now what to change in a savegame file to load it in 1.06. At the moment I am thinking about what to do with ground_def_eff. A higher value is better, right? As stated in the doctrines tech file, all countries start with +15 in CORE. Would you suggest to keep this bonus now that the tech really works? Or would you rather suggest to start with 0 and apply the modifiers of the techs than? (Well, all modfiers with reversed signs of course...)

from what i understand there are a lot of changes need to be done meaning a lot of time but if your good at editing and use that time to make core 0.71 for 1.06 to work great.
Well, I'll be waiting with outmost impatience for the CORE update whatever you say. Tried a couple of quick games in 1.06, first with Germany, then Japan and last the USA. First of all, now I remember why I upgraded to CORE. D) Secondly, I can't go back to vanilla now that I've grow used to the infinite possibilities and yet historically accurateness of CORE!
So, just so you know, here's one who's putting HoI on the shelf untill the CORE update comes out. No pressure...

I think Im in the same boat your in. I have been playing CORE for a long time, I cant seem to bring myself to play vanilla for more then a few months, just dosent feel right.
Its like running into an ex girlfriend, its great to see her fun chit chat for a few minutes but anything over a 10min conversation and your quickly reminded why you broke up in the first place...
Having EU 1.08 out dosent help either
