Bombardment, a Monday night game depending on where you live, is in need of a new perm Portugal. Portugal is very strong in this game, and is set to take over the rest of Iberia and many Spanish colonial posessions following Spain's implosion.

I'm sort of in flux with times, but looking at your game time (8 PM EST), i can make that. I guess i should say that in terms of EU2 MP i'm a newbie, having never played in a long term EU2 MP game. I am well experienced with Paradox MP however, you can look and find i'm very active both as a host and player in the smaller Victoria MP community, so i understand proper MP conduct. I just started an EU2 SP game as England, after a year of not playing due to Victoria, and i seem to be doing fine (#4 in VP vs the AI in 1470).

i have ICQ, its in my signature.

Unfortunately, Gaius Marius, this may not be the best situation for a player new to Eu2 MP - though we appreciate your offer! If you come to the game this evening you may have an opportunity to sub, which is how most new players get started in MP.

Aladar, this is Ryoken's 1492 on the latest beta. Spain was mismanaged from the beginning, and after several different perms has 50 percent inflation before even the second bankruptcy. It became very vulnerable to a Portugal with equivalent income, particularly after the last perm quit without warning, apparently upset by the economic situation.

They bankrupted (not the events, they bankrupted in the game, interest from loans was greater than their income and then ....). A sad tale indeed.

So Spain was dropped (perm abandoned) and Portugal can take all what they want from Spain. Only in 1620 other countries can join in the 'fun'.

For me, this is actually the best starting situation, as i'd be taking over a solid foundation already. If you put me with Portugal in 1492 (just getting going), i'd probably have a heck of a time getting anywhere by contrast.

anyway, i have latest beta working, and ryoken's mod loaded and ready. I'll show up about 15-20 minutes early to see if there is any sort of spot for me, whatever you guys decide, and get the situation of Portugal in the world, beyond what the screenshot shows.

One thing witch bothers me, is the fact that Portugal doesn't have fleet.
Can you show images of Portuguese colinies??
