Guys, firing this mod up for the first time and am playing the scenario "crowned stag" so there is no war right now. Will there be non-scripted random wars that occur in game that didn't in the books?

Also, will the main wars occur anyway? For example: in a Few years will the Iron Islands rebel?

This is still CK2 - the AI can declare its own wars for its own reasons.

With a handful of exceptions, we do not script historical wars, especially ones that don't start until years after the scenario you chose. So while it's possible that the Iron Islands might rebel if you start at the Crowned Stag, it would depend on Balon's AI.

At the same time, the game can and sometimes does repeat historical wars of its own accord. In one of my Crowned Stag games, Robert discovered Joffrey's true parentage. I believe he had Jaime executed, and exiled Cersei and Joffrey. Tywin launched a war for the Iron Throne, then, but Robert and Ned beat him back together.

It was all awfully exciting.

Yeah, we do try to make things so that the canonical events can happen, even if they're not necessarily scripted, but we don't do anything to guarantee that they will except in a few scenarios. So Robert might discover Joffrey true parentage, or he might not; hell, if you go with a Crowned Stag start, it's entirely possible that Robert and Cersei's first child might actually be Robert's, and then be falsely accused of being Jaime's!

That would be a legitimately amazing twist in the books.

If I were the author I would introduce evidence suggesting that Joff really might have been Robert's kid and let fans fight over the implications of such evidence.
