eutools.freeservers.com
I've created a new EU site at http://eutools.freeservers.com

At this site, I also have available for download the first version of my new EU utility EUView 1.0. It allows you to view the data in EU saved game files in a format much easier to read (any format's easier to read, of course).

I don't have a guestbook or anything set up for feedback yet, so if you have any questions/comments/suggestions please just post them on this forum.

Thanks

Great! Actually I haven't tried it yet, but will soon. I'm unavailable for a week or so, but planned on writing the same thing as a 'non-trivial' project for some Java stuff I have in mind. I'll still do, but glad to see someone put something together.

To add to your 'to do'. An editor for the various files (.csv, .inc, .eug and more).

Cheers.

Hmm, is the site not correctly displayed in Netscape? I only see a banner ad and a greenish background... :(

What version are you using? I just checked with 4.5 and got the same thing you did.... Oh, well... might be time to move to my *real* homepage (didn't want a lot of traffic on my personal page at school).... I'll see if I can't fix it quickly on this site first... be back in a few...

Ok... I've made some changes (did away with the background and all other fanciness) and I can view the page in Netscape 4.5. It's basically down to basic HTML with no javascript or anything.... that's the last time I just use one of the stock templates to speed things up... lol

It looked OK in Mozilla (NS6 alpha) so it's probably not the templates fault =).

When did you view it? I changed it to a basic page (no background, tables, etc) about 30 minutes ago. At this point, I've decided that I don't care how the page looks since it only exists as a place for me to store files for public download....

BTW Hartmann, is Doomie goin to make something more of that ICG page of yours ?
If not I can do the same to as I did to Moctezuma's scenario generator & LF's Real EU.

Haven't asked before, becurse I've always figued Håkan would get there sooner or later (he shure has the skill to do something really nice with it), but that blue text on white background is starting to get really old =)

About when you first posted about your new site a while back =)

Yeah, it's boring now... but, since it's the weekend, I might have some time to spruce it up some. However, if I do that, I might lose some of the time that I would have had to work on the editor I'm developing... oh well... :)

Obviously, the same 'deal' availabel to the ICG project is available to you =)
It's just a cut'n'paste by now anyway =)

Of course, it doesn't solve NS 4.x problems since I don't care how stuff looks with it myself (since NS 6 has been an option for upgrade for quite a while now =).

Just bugtesting stuff in 20+ NS 4.x versions ...

Stefan, thanks for the kind offer. :) Doomie would have beefed up the site himself, but there were always more pressing issues. I suggest to just send him an email (as he will maybe not read this).
