New Update makes the game crash after about 20 secs (w/o Error message) in the launcher or, if you get to the main menu, as soon as you click anything (w/o Error message).
Updated windows
Running as admin
Updated C++
Restarted system

Only thing that let's me play is reverting to previous patch.
Let's hope this isnt foreshadowing for ck3 eh.
Though this is making me pessimistic about it already.
Hey Paradox, can i maybe buy a fix the game dlc?
I have all the other ones so one more wouldnt hurt I guess.

OK I fixed it. Clean Reinstall seems to have fixed it.
Follow these steps:

- move any valued save games elsewhere
- "uninstall" in Steam-CK2
- manually delete both the Steam/SteamApps/common/CK2 AND Documents/Paradox/CK2 folders
- re-install game in Steam, run a Steam Verify when done.
- add ck2game.exe to the exceptions list of your antivirus app; ESPECIALLY if you have Windows Defender, add it to the Ransomware "Apps Allowed Through" list.
- start the game with no mods active and test

Update 2... the same problem is back after one Day.
What the heck is this?
Are the devs looking into this?
Am I the only one with Problems with the new update?

Also, cleaninstalling doesnt fix it anymore.
It's evolving... o.0

I'm pretty sure it's got something to do with the change to 64bit.
But my system is 64bit 100% so idk.

What operating system are you running? (What version in particular?)

Mine is doing the exact same thing. Tried reinstalling and running as administrator. Nothing worked. Had to revert back to an earlier version to get it to run.
Running Win 10 Pro 1903 18362.418.
Guess I'll run the old version until a fix comes out at some point.

This is getting ridiculous. I've reverted to 3.2.1 and now the game is crashing again, reproduceably...

After conquering England as William, pressing my character picture crashes the game.

I don't think I've ever had this many crashes/problems with the game before. Last time I played a lot (around March) everything was working just fine...

When you revert to older game versions you must delete the contents of the documents/paradox/ck2/ folder (except valued save games) to let the older game version write it the way it wants.
