How do install EIR II -- QPAR -- Full version for Armageddon 1.2

1) Make a complete copy of your Hearts of Iron Doomsday – Armageddon 1.1 file by clicking on the Doomsday main folder Icon and copying the folder. Paste this somewhere else on your computer.
2) Download “the East is Red.rar” file from the link provided.
3) Copy it into the new Doomsday folder: Make sure it is the copy.
4) Right Click over the RAR file.
5) Select: "Extract Here"
6) Overwrite "ALL"
7) Boot the game and in single player you will find new “the East is Red Scenarios.”
6) If you have loaded it correctly you should see the image posted above as you load the game.

Note: not all of the changes will work properly with the other scenarios available from the menu.

Can't identfy the file type? It is an RAR zip file: Click here for the decompression utility.http://www.rarlab.com/rar/wrar370.exe
I want to thank all those people who have helped me put this mod together, and the the people who have come up with many of the ideas I have borrowed. Thanks especially to all the main playtesters from version one, Adam, Geofactor, Mighty G., Gunny, Hiensen, King Tiger II, DEX and Nicophorus, and more recently General Sherman. Especially Predator who did a lot of 1 on 1 playtesting and helped me re-organize my crazy file structure. Also the other modders who I have learned from and exchanged ideas with, such as the guys at the Multiplayer Enhancement Mod Prime Minister Fiend, P3D, Durruti, Zoslo and Tyrant, and also Gormodoc over at the CDCP Mod, Fernando Torres at the World in Flames Mod and Cohen for his ideas and Lord Ederon and his fantastic online map utility of course.

Thanks guys, one and all.

NOTE: EIR II -- QPAR

Special note, this game has been moved to a European schedule.

So far, Wrteched Mass, Silver have mentioned they are interested.

I am going to suggest the additional following line up:

Wretcehd Mass -- Italy
Silver -- Japan
Geofactor -- UK

Other possible minors are Canada and Hungary, and I think possibly Max and Nostra will play.

Note: We will be playing on a new version, with modifications to the land combat system, and possibly some aircraft chages.

I will post this new version on Sunday.

Monday at 6:00 or 7:00 EDT.

Glad to Join , (AKA max AKA sturmtiger).... Altough i may miss the September 8 session.

OK max that would be great. If you are missing September 8th, then perhaps you should chose a minor, and perhaps you will be promoted when someone drops out, or you can sub someone else when they can not show.... Hungary, perhaps?

Ok, no problem with Minors, altough If you dont mind i'd prefer their minors allies since they have more mobility and combined arms.

Thanks

Ok here is the prototype, I will make a more descriptive post later.

EIR IIb DBGS Main.rar
EIRIIb DBGS Graphics.rar

Download both files and unzip "here" in the Doomsday folder of a new copy of your Armageddon 1.2 game.

I may play with this a little before game time, and will be adding a few more graphics too -- it is a lot of detail work. If I do have to change anything major, other than graphics there will be a new checksum and patch.

Cheers!

People who pick on the board get preference, for their choice.

Well damn it all to hell. We lost Gunny, and KT2 did not show up so we really were not able to get it going. WM had problems downloading and Max showed up then had to go. Geodeath lurked but said nothing.

Next Monday for sure, and it will be a 3 v 3 if there are enough players or a 2 v 2 38. The 38 rules are pretty simple:

Also we will be starting a new 2 v 2 On wednesday, and possibly a 3 v 3 if we have enough players for that:

The 38 rules are pretty simple:

By January 1942:

Axis Strategic victory: France falls, and captures Africa
Axis Operational victory: France falls and Africa is still disputed
Draw: France falls but Axis lose Africa or France does not fall but Allies lose Africa
Allied Operational Victory: France does not fall, and Africa is still disputed
Allied Strategic Victory: France does not fall, and Africa is in Allied hands

Ok, so there has been a number of complaints about the download server I have been using, so I am now using Mediafire, and I hope this will work. So, here is a better link... I hope: EIR -- HAGS

Hosts and anyone wanting to run this game through Danzig will need to DL and unzip the "HAGSdanzigpatch2" file in the Doomsday folder in order to replace the corrected events files. The trigger for the Danzig event is incorrect.

So Geo confrimed with me that he will be available after 4:00 pm or so, so barring any mishaps, he will be playing UK from game start, 00:00 CET.

Well that was a lot of hassle for not much enjoyment. We made it to August 1936 in 4 hours, which is shamefully slow.
1) It would be really grand if people could post when they are going to be able to show.

2) As well, it would be good if people were to show up in Vnet, as opposed to being nudged into action through MSN.

3) It would also be kinda cool if people were to check the threads before game start, so they can see if there are any patches made to the game.

4) I posted a notice for the pre-game patch on 6 different thread on 4 different boards. I don't like to patch mid game, but this was necessary, and it was a simple 19k patch, not a major renvovation, and I did everything to advertise it where I could.

5) Also, I don't really feel like discussing every single aspect of the mod in chat during game. The boards are a good place to do that before the game or after. Discussing thing in chat never really works out or is useful, I find.

6) Also, we need to discuss any major diplomatic rules on the board, not in chat or in the game.

7) Keeping these games organized is tought to do, so if people are late, or having problems patience is required.

If we do that, we can certainly get through at least a year and a half of game in the run-up to the war, and at least half a year of war-time in a 4 hour session.

Anyway, I am going to try again next week, but if we follow the above, we can certainly do more faster, in a more enjoyable way, but if its more of the same, then its back to square one.
