I have had EU for about a month now. I have been able to figure out everything but 2 things. I have not been able to find this info in any FAQs.

First, I see on the EU box that there are "90 potentially player controlled nations", yet in the grand campaign i can only figure out how to play the main 8 (portugal, poland lithuania, spain, russia, england, france, turkey, and austria). I need help figuring out how to play some other nations.

Second, I have figured that you can find out your BB rating my checking in the saved game files. How would i go about doing this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, and thanks in advance.

.. after downloadfing the IGC *please* peruse the readme that will come with it - it is simple to install and run but the proper procedure must be followed.

There are ways to achieve your requests without downloading the IGC, but they involve fiddling with save game files.

In the folder EU/Scenarios/Save Games you will find a file "country.eug" which is the game you saved playing that country. Open it in Wordpad (it's a simply text file, if a big one) and do a search for "badboy" Each nation will appear in turn, identified by its tag (URS = russia, HAB = Austria, all the others are pretty obvious) and just below the tag will be "badboy = some value"

You can cheat by changing this, of course. :D

A few lines below the badboy line, is the line "major = yes" If you change this to "major = no" then that country is not playable, and is annexable .. if you change a no into a yes, that country is playable. You need to make THIS change in the Scenarios folder, to Grand Campaign.eug or whichever scenario you want to play. eg: to play Milan in the Grand Campaign, open Grand Campaign.eug, search for badboy until you come to the Milan text (tag = MIL) and amend it to read "major = yes" It's probably a good idea to change one of the ordinary majors to "no" to keep the numbers straight.

If this doesn't work, or causes crashes, simply change everything back to how it was and you should be okay. You may wish to create a copy of the file (Grand Campaign.old) to facilitate this, before tinkering with it.
