I purchased EU from EB over the weekend and have been trapped on it ever since - what version of the game am I playing? I noticed all this talk about V1.07 and V1.08. One of the things I wanted to know was do the BB points decline in earlier versions of the game - and one really dumb question how do I even know what my BB points are (they will be pretty high though as I just started up and launched myself into a game as France and acted terribly i.e. forcibly annexing Lorraine, declaring war on Spain twice and annexing provinces in the ensuing peace treaties)?

If you're playing v1.08 it tells you as such in the top left hand corner of the EU intro screen. Not sure if v1.07 does the same - it might have been blank from what I recall.

You have to look in the savegame file to find out your BB points.

The version number should appear in the corner of the screen during start-up.

First thing I always do when loading a new game is go to the web site and download the latest patch. In this case it's 1.08. Then you will know for sure what version you're playing. :)

If you just bought the game recently from EB as I did, odds are you've got v.1.07 (it will tell you at the top left of your start up screen). Download 1.08 from the EU website. There are a few minor tweaks to 1.07 that make it worthwhile.
