newbie questions

Hello!
I am a newbie in HoI. I just bought the game three days ago… so excuse for some “naif” question…

I was a player of EU I and II and I just understand that I bought the wrong HoI (the platinum with Core included!), I should bought the II. I will buy it in the next couple of days…

Questions:
1. Where do I get the historical accurate German flag? The HoI I forum seems dead, and there seems to be some confidentiality about hat flag…
2. Most of links to HoI I seem dead. Is there so live links? To forums?

Cool, you will notice some big differences.

Questions:
1. Where do I get the historical accurate German flag? The HoI I forum seems dead, and there seems to be some confidentiality about hat flag…

There are a bunch of flags Here. Although the link the historical German flag appears to be missing. The reason for a lack of that flag are legal restrictions which Paradox works under. If you truely would like that banned historical flag, drop me a PM with your e-mail address and I can probably get it to you.

2. Most of links to HoI I seem dead. Is there so live links? To forums?

There are a lot of threads out there, so I can imagine that there is probably one where they discuss specifically how to add a new nation. If not you could probably post the question on the general discussion thread.

Here are the basics...

Make an .inc file
create minister and leader files
create a tech teams file
create a flag and shield if there isn't already one present
Make an entry in the scenario file to tells the program to load the nation and make it playable

Check your PM box. I just understood that the Nazi historical flag is illegal in Germany. But it seems odd to see them with another flag…

I will try to add India in the Core Mod. As a puppet allied of the UK (to simulate a colony), and with less technology (except in infantry). I thinks this will simulate better the Indian war effort. I just don’t know how to call the colony (maybe just India!), or what flag should I use… maybe just the UK flag…

I actually think that this would be a good idea even if it is unhistorical. I think there was talk about making some colonies and such into "nations" but I dont remember the topic, though I do remember Newfoundland was mentioned.

If you can be a little patient I can save you some time. India is one of the nations that is being included in CORE2. There is an Indian flag that we will be using. It is basically the Union Jack with the Star of India in the center. MDow
