Has all active development and support for this title been halted?

Just getting into it, and it has a good core to it. Interested in the B&B and rails DLC, but they appear to need a couple more polish patches at the very least.

If so, I will just skip that DLC. There is still a lot of fun to be had. Shame if so though.

PDX just announced Surviving the Abyss which looks a lot like Surviving Mars. So I guess they are concentrating now on the successor. Although it looks to be from a other company (Rocket Flair Studios) so there is a small chance for parallel development.

the current surviving mars devs are not the chatty type group, we considered the game dead and then we suddenly got bellow and beyond. The same thing happened with the railway DLC. they might be working on something without talking about it or we may never hear about it again. They did asked in the forum of what the players might want next which at least showed some intent on another DLC. On the minus side I believe since all the never DLC's have a lot of negative reviews.

The new content was made by a new dev company they hired for this (and fired recently) that braught the old game code to its limits (and beyond), Rail DLC was made by a known modder. There's still a lot to be fixed but I dont hold my breath for this to come in the near future.

do you think game worths to return after last dlc? I didn't hear good things about it. I enjoyed terraforming features a lot and enjoyed core game and I was wondering if new dlc worth something to come back for.
