So I'm returning to Stellaris after some time without a capable pc, which got me wondering whether there has been any attempt at an updated mod like the workshop's "Remove Spaceborne Aliens"?

From my layman's perspective, it would appear to be a relatively straightforward mod (so long as limited to the basic creatures) , but even back then there were some problems with the mod as the game was updated whose causes didn't seem to be obvious (the last comments in the workshop page report problems with building robots).

P.S.: I considered posting this in the Quick Questions Thread, but that one seemed best reserved to more technical questions. I preemptively apologize if that isn't the case.
 
Not sure I'd want them removed but I definitely wouldn't mind them being reduced. I decided to play nice with the Tiyanki and Amoebas in my current game and about 300 years in it got laggier than expected. Once I built my sensor megastructure I understood: there were something like 300 fleets of (mostly) Tiyanki and Amoebas floating around, and I decided I had no choice but to go on an extermination campaign against wandering fleets. I got all of them but left their home systems intact, got about 20% better framerate since the Hunt, lol. All totalled up it had to be close to 500k fleet power drifting around out there, lol.
