I sent a PM to Timur Lang (the creator of the NTL-mod) and asked for a special version (which he said some time ago that he could do), and here it is! Many thanks to him and of course a place on the contributor list!

A couple of quesitons Johan, while we are on the subject of amenities.

Have you found anyone to make this into a nice little executable, like the C.O.R.E. people have?

Have you considered asking said C.OR.E. people if we could use their nice little minimap and colors (which in my opinion are far superior to vanilla HOI's colors and mini-map)?

That nice minimap is not from CORE, it's from Stony Road. Used in CORE by kind permission from N!ghty (is that how you spell it?) Actually, it was used first, THEN he gave permission, due to a mixup by Phil K when submitting the new counters and colours.

I can ask Phil K about the colours, if we have consensus (I like them better,too)

Why don't you ask him yourself? He isn't going to bite you! And the change is done in an hour (or less) I would guess, so he won't say no because he has got no time.

I can, but I don't have the program to do it (well, test-versions that will work for like only 30 days or so), but then, N!ightY has the knowledge and the program for it, so we could ask him when the time has come.

I've heard a lot about the colors, so I shall download C.O.R.E. and take a look at them, then Gwalcmai can ask.

It seems like I have to install the whole C.O.R.E. to get to the country.csv file, which I don't "want" to do. Could someone post the contents of the mentioned file? It isn't too big.

There is a no-time limit 'patch' for vanilla HOI. I think Procer's site has it.

Malfunction....

I tried installing the patch, followed the instructions, but the HoI-file wouldn't patch... Is this a problem anybody else is familiar with, or is it just me screwing up again?
