Im playing as Germany. I take the Zchekoslovakia (divided with Hungary), and later I do not press for Danzig. So I avoid the war in 1939. But after that the allies stay in their own busines, same than the soviets... and the year is 1943, almost 1944. Can be added an agression event for the allies in case of pease late in the game? (As Germany my beligerance is 25 - I anex Yugoslavia - but the allies still without declaring war).
Now I will invade France and Poland at the same time, and will be a ride :D The allied IA should not leave Germany to become so powerfull without declare war. Same for the russians.

PS: I do not made any alliances, I prefer leave Romania and Hungary as neutrals.
The first time that I play HSR I acept an alliance with Hungary, then they enter in war with Poland (in 1938) and the allies declare war on me.

Belligerence of 25 isn't high enough for the allies to DOW you generally unless you're playing on high difficulty levels. It doesn't take that much for you to bump your belligerence up to levels that the allies will DOW you though. If you annex Denmark, Poland, and Yugoslavia I would think an allied DOW would be very likely. Russia would probably not be happy either.

As for the lack of DOW after you take Czechoslovakia I think that's pretty reasonable of the Allies if you stop there. Historically Germany probably could have gotten away with taking just Austria and Czechoslovakia. The allies really didn't look forward to yet another world war with Germany. They might even have gotten away with taking Danzig if they stopped there although that would have been less likely.

If the US had never entered the war (which would have been quite possible if Pearl Harbor hadn't happened), Germany might even have gotten away with taking part of Poland and France. It's pretty doubtful that the UK could have retaken France without the US or Russia to help out.

I think war with Russia would have been inevitable (they hated each other and Stalin didn't really have peace in mind) but if Germany had made peace with the allies and waited for Russia to attack instead of invading Russia while still at war with the allies they very well may have defeated Russia. (Hence the plausibility of the Bitter Peace event).

This is assuming a lack of atrocities of course. Once the atrocities began to mount there was probably no going back.

Well I thing you have a wrong concept for what happened in WWII. If Germany would have not continued with the aggressive territorial expansion the allies would have not DOW Germany, so in my view your game is working perfectly. If you want a war you have to start it :)

More or less... What I mean is that now Im too strong. I have the 2nd army, 2nd Navy (yes, bigger than USA and Japan) and the 2nd Airforce. I already invade and convert to puppet to Italy (almost without casualities).
What Im saying is that nobody will stop Germany? Anyway, I will atack France ;)

BTW, Turkey is in the Allies. (I never see that in HOI1)

I would say it's right that the Allies havne't jumped into war; they usually do for me which is annoying. However, they should perhaps get further gearing bonuses to simulate an arms race with Germany.. I don't think they'd have sat around letting Germany amass a huge army without expanding their own forces any more than they had prior to 1939!

The difficulty level will. Remember that if you want an historical challenge you need to play on Gröfaz. If you wait too long the Soviets will be way too tough and might destroy your plans. The easiest levels are just to learn how to play :)
