Missing events

Because of the recent changes, I uninstalled CK. Reinstalled from CD, put in 10/17beta patch, 1066B mod, then SECK, and finallyTunch Khan portraits.

When I started up the game, I get the error "XXX_events.txt not found" and game dies.

OK, I say. I edit the events.txt file to remove that line.

But it happens 4 more times!

Seems I'm missing the following events files, and I don't know why.

chancellor_events.txt
illness_events.txt
evil_events.txt
bankruptcy_events.txt
sin_events.txt

Any ideas why they vanished?

You need to install the latest non-beta patch 1.04a on top of a clean install and only after that install the beta patch. Might be worth it to read the instruction threads first







(Then again who am I to complain, I actually alarmed Johan after last beta patch that it's fully screwed since it didn't have all the files. Possibly because I hadn't installed the 1.04a first)
