Peasants revolt constantly

May be not a bug, BUT. I started several games, and in this last one (King of Castille) in my demesne the peasants are ALWAYS revolting. I kill the rebels, and in 6 months comes the other revolt. Spoiling my game. In my other games i only experienced a few revolts in a century. The peasant loyalty is 100% everywhere - what is this? Am i still a rookie, or is this really a bug?
Deus Liberate me from the peasants...

Thanks

Try tweaking the power balance in those provinces.;) That's what made the revolts pop up for me the times I had problems.:)

Np.:) I don't know if it would help, but try building that building that counters criminality? Maybe that helps?:) But are you sure you've given the peasants enough power(they are the ones revolting right?)?

well, obviously there's either overtaxing or the presence of bad guys (thieves guild, etc.), check the tax level of the farmers and check their loyalty change,

it will also take much time to get them loyal enough that they'll stop revolting,

Peasants loyalty increases 0.6, and is already at 100% in each county...That's why I don't understand this. Taxes are low... I'm quite embarrassed...

Have you set church donations low (to save money) such that clergy morale drops like a rock in all your provinces? That is the most common cause for mass revolts that I know. :)

Church donations at maximum, taxes extremely low. For about 20 years at least.
Okay, time for you to list the loyalty percentages for ALL the groups - you have only mentioned the peasants' loyalty until now, but revolts break out when any group is at low loyalty. :)

*desperately hoping that there is a simple explanation*

Are you talking about the event where you get the option to hang the rebels? If so, that will keep recurring as hanging them does not remove the rebellion. It will only stop once you take the other option.

Never seen anything like that...my peasants have always been very docile...this seems more than a bit odd...

So. No, I'm not talking about the "hang them - finally " thing. These are revolts and ALL FOUR groups have 100% loyalty towards me in every province I own. Should I send a savegame to the honoured beta-testers maybe?

If that's the case, then it seems this could use a move to the bug forum.

Please send a save game to sonny25@cox.net and let me know which country/dynasty you are playing. :)

Click on any of your demesne provinces - Badajoz for instance. Hold your cursor over the burghers. You will notice that the tooltip indicates that with the current tolls the loyalty of the burghers is -0.38 per month. Currently (at the start of the save game) their loyalty is already down to 14%. So it won't take long before you have a revolt there. It is somewhat the same for all of your demesne provinces except Cordoba and Baghdad where the monthly loyalty is +0.02 per month.

When you said that loyalty was 100% you were probably looking at your vassals.

:)

I probably just didn't care about burghers when checking... I am ashamed...
(I didn't confuse vassal loyalty with peasant or noble or whatewer loyalty)

I'll just sit in the corner today. Or kneel. On pebbles. For wasting all your time.
 :( :eek:o

Thank you for the help!

No problem. Happens to all of us at one time or another. :)
