Summary

Not allowed to fight back as Independent Ruler takes my land

Description

The king of England has a claim on the Duchy of Mercia, but I (King of Ireland) own it.

Some Earls in the Duchy decide to fight the current Duke to install the King of England as the Duke of Mercia. When they win, Mercia becomes part of England. Normally, when one King is taking land from another, they need to fight the kingdom they are taking land from. But here, I'm completely unable to interfere.

I should be able to step in and say "You can't take my land without fighting me"

Steps to reproduce

1. Win a war against a King for a Duchy they have claim to
2. Install a new Duke (now my vassal) who proves unpopular with the Earls
3. Have the Earls decide to go to war to install the old king as the duke
4. Try to stop the earls from doing so
