not enough RAM?

Hi there, I have a 2.8gig Celeron Processor, and 756mb PC2100 RAM @ 100mhz. Despire apparently surpassing the minimum requirements, the game becomes too slow to play by about 1938. Would having 1gb RAM @ 133mhz make the game run smoothly the entire duration?
 
Your best bet is to takea look through the FAQ on slowdowns in the Victoria tech support forum. Everything in it applies equally to HOI2 including renaming that file.
