I read on the wiki that you can can get Psionic Barriers from the Dimension of Suffering event if you are spiritualist or fanatic spiritualist you also get the option to pray for a solution I don't recieve that option even though I have researched Psionic theory I have picked Mind over Matter for an ascension perk followed by Transcendence which made my species is fully Psionics this picture shows the options when I choose to close the portal I get an update in the situation log to close the portal takes X amount of months for the project to finish after the project has finished this is what I recieve from the event
