How come when I have someone imprisoned and they have a weapon I cannot steal it from them? I imprisoned and then executed for the crab's pincer but it still went to his next of kin. Is there a way to actually steal from them or is this a broken mechanic?

This is working as designed, you are not meant to be able to take them from your prisoners as it would be a bit too overpowered as you could just kidnap all the sword owners and take the swords easily.

I wouldn't consider kidnapping every valyrian sword owner easy though.

It kinda is, depending on who you're playing.

Besides, it arguably doesn't make a lot of sense from a lore perspective either. I mean, do all valyrian sword owners carry the thing on their person at all times? For most families a valyrian steel sword would be the single most prized heirloom of the house, and you wouldn't have it on you unless you needed it for something. So you'd bring it to the battlefield, to a duel, perhaps a prestigious ceremony, but when just lounging about your court or attending to the day to day business of a lord you'd probably have the thing locked up securely. Of course, depends on personality of the owner and whatnot, but I think it makes sense as a general rule.

Didn't Ned Stark have Ice on him at the time of his execution? ;) Love the mod though it is my favorite next to the middle earth mod only because I'm a huge Tolkien nerd
