I`m tempted to use freedom and move slider to full drafted army, but I wont, partially because events will move it back to hawk, partially because of house rules.
House rules will be following:
No cheating of any kind
No allies, so no military control
No ground attack (As I wont have any significant air force it is minor point)
No research of any new land air or naval units except rockets.
Follow historical timetable until Dancing.
Honor Molotov-Ribbentrop pact till 41. summer.
DOW USA at the end of 41. if they aren`t joined allies jet.
I don`t expect game to be one sided, at least in the beginning, when I will have advantage of numbers and IC against France, Poland and UK. But after SU and USA will arrive it will be fight for surviving. Point about attack to Soviet Union in 41. is to make game harder because then they should have Infantry 41 and decent air force.
My initial builds
I`m going to stick for massive CA and CL fleet for shore bombardment (CL-4 with fire control is cheapest option for SB, I would have gone for DD`s instead) and DD-2 fleet to verify effectiveness of huge DD fleets.
PzKpfw.NbFz.VI, in game terms medium armour II, with AC brigade will be core of my armoured forces and won`t be too obsolete till 40. I`m very sad about lack of motorized troop formations, as they would be handy, but can`t help here. Later I`ll add infantry 36 with ART for creating breakthroughs and without suited for following tank corps. Mountaineers, for amphibious assault and fast movement in mountains and rough terrain. More panzer divisions, heavy and light cruisers.
I would love to avoid IC builds, but I will need as Much TC as I can get, because my army will be armour heavy. Air force will be strictly limited and perform mostly air reconnaissance. Quite annoying is fact that I have transport planes available, but paras aren`t, so no commandos raid to devastate enemy air units.
This will be primary Gameplay AAR. Don`t expect much updates about pre war period, because it is quite boring and repetitive
