So. In the hope that at some point in time before the sun explodes I'll get this sucker working, I'm gunna put this here.

I have no idea why both are turning out that way. I've gotten to the point where I'm just downloading any old mod off the workshop that has the word 'halo' in it, seeing how they did it, then trying to replicate the result. Ironically, of the three people who have tried it, none of them work correctly. In this instance, we have the convenant faction mod (smaller ring to the left) who has.. I assume them to be mesh bits, circling the ring model. Then we have my model to the right, the large grey object, which inexplicably only shows textures in two instances: the interior when far away, the exterior when up close. If I zoom in, the interior vanishes, zoom out, vice versa.

I have redone this mesh a few times now, and I'm not sure what else to try. Replication doesn't appear to work, or I'm just breaking things without even touching them :D

The covenant ring model worked perfectly during two instances I had the game loaded up, it was visible at all angles, no texture issues, no model problems. When I replaced the diffuse with a recolor, just to see what would happen, the model instantly became purple, it summoned its floating army of meshy doom plates, and has never worked properly since. And this is despite replacing the mod, deleting the mod, completely reinstalling the game and deleting the modified texture off my hard drive.

....I am starting to believe I am cursed by the ancient ones hiding in the depths of my computer.

I also really, really really hope someone reads this and replies, been posting for about a week off and on only to end up with silence :(

Sorry, I am importing a model that was donated to me, its in obj format and has all of the textures associated with it. Still haven't had any luck with this since first post unfortunately.

I'm using the terra shader in the exporter, in the gfx file it reads as PDXMeshShip.

Sorry for the delayed reply, been a busy few days!

Edit: Would uploading the file be of any help?

Hello!
I have been looking into it now, sorry for the late response, lots of work here haha ;)

I got it to work at least and it looks just fine. I imported the .obj file, gave the phong shader which you already had made the PdxMeshShip shader and wrote in to not use any normalmap or specular map by just giving it a file and writing "nonormal.dds" and "nospec.dds" in the fields.
I also had to save out a new version of your diffuse file as .dds. Then I just exported it and imported as a mod, in game it looks like this:

Try to recreate what I did and see if it works.
