This is a minor detail that annoys me.

I've seen the screenshot of Scandinavia by wintertime. The settlement in Österbotten (Pohjanmaa in Finnish) is in EU3 called Vaasa. This is correct, since that town is to be considered the capital of Österbotten during the time which this game takes place. But its position on the map is quite wrong. It's too far north, making me believe you've placed Oulu. Oulu is perhaps one of the largest cities in Finland in our times, but during the timeline of EU3/4 Vaasa was the central town of the region of Österbotten and quite an important town in the Swedish Empire too. By the time EU3/4 starts (in the 1400's) it would have been called Korsholm (Mustasaari in Finnish) but the name was changed into Vaasa (after the Swedish ruling dynasty's family name Vasa). Exports in tar and wood products were important from this region and they supplied the Swedish navy with that.

Is it possible to move Vaasa south along the Finnish coast to a more proper position? If I'd have my way, Österbotten and Finnish Lapland would be split into two provinces with Oulu or Raahe as settlement in Finnish Lapland. I'd also write the Province names in Finnish for at least the Eastern and central provinces in Finland. The borders look good otherwise. I'm sorry for nitpicking.

I don't really see anything negative in "borders are wrong" threads myself. The developers are still the judges in the end of what borders are right and what city placements and so on, since they need to do the balance to get a well-working game. I just felt the need to share my own opinion on this particular issue since I saw it in EU3 as well and I hope they consider it.

Johan says in the Destructoid article: "You get devoted people who can help out and correct the game and make it better. Let’s face it, nobody is an expert with the history and geography of the entire world -- there are always going to be things you aren’t familiar with."

Thank you kindly, CaptRobau. I have actually taken quite a lot of inspiration to my mods from the Paradox strategy games. The mod I'm working on now is really very much inspired by Crusader Kings II. I hope to create something for a Paradox title later on as well. Perhaps a mod about the Swedish-Russian War of 1808-09 or something like that.

Still, in both EU III and CKII Kiev was situated far behind Dniepr, I hope, this time Paradox will fix it.

The problem with Ukraine in EU3 is due to badly angled Caspian Sea which pushes everything north making it look weird. And trust me Kiev aint even half as bad as Balkan or India.
