So far I only have used the CWE mod and like that it attempts to stretch AOD into the 21st century. Oddly enough there are no modern scenarios for it beyond pure fantasy revision and my WW2 scenario which originally was supposed to last until 2024 is now saying it only lasts until 1963. SMEP mentions 'capital capture' events that will help the allies. But wouldn't that help the axis more? What distinguishes it from CORE? Which mod is most popular? Which is most historic? Is CWE the only one that supposedly extends the game beyond 1963(realistically)?
Personally I think the game vastly underestimates the gravity of a country losing it's capital. In 'World in Flames', the capital is the only supply source for most countries. In AOD, I'm still not sure if it has any significance at all.
