Official US MP Game Thread

Ok, now that we all have gotten our copies of Victoria and have had a day or two to get down the basics, I think it's time for an MP game!

I propose a starting game time of 9pm EST on Tuesday, using Mowers suggested country list. Everyone will need to be patched to v1.01 of course.

Hopefully the time is early enough to allow us East coasters to get in some quality time while being late enough to allow the folks on the West coast to join in the fun.

If you're interested, post your country here and I'll start compiling the list of players.

I recommend trying a few sessions of MP before setting up a regular game... my experience has been uniformly negative (think HoI 1.01....)

MP is still quite laggy. I recommend smaller player numbers for now, too..

I should be able to play, and would like to try if it isnt too buggy. I would like Prussia please if its available. Never tried multiplayer so I may need some help setting up, like what ports vicky uses since Im behind a router, tried the sticky post to find them but get 404 error

Hmm, not sure about that dunklerKaiser. I was planning on just using Valkyrienet. Are you able to use that from behind your firewall?

As as side note, it appears that the game is forming up to be a European game, so if anyone else wants to join in, please pick a European power.

I have not used Valkyrienet, but I 'll try and figure it out before tonight so I can set my router and firewall accordingly.

Just turn the DMZ for your router on, and turn off the firewall while you play. That works fairly well for me.
