...please take a year (or two) to rework the gameplay.


First, I hope that the layoffs included the guy that thought the best take for a setting known for sexy, philosophical and political conflicts was to make a punching game against color coded copy-pasted enemies.
Second, I hope that the layoffs included also the guy that saw Johnny Silverhand and thought "Like that but 50% more mansplaining"

Once the dust is settled really take your time and try to salvage out something decent: the hype for this game is nonexistant anyways so better try to make a small successful game than a DOA bomb that would stain any possible further development.

The games not getting remade they didn't want to make it in the first place it was originally a different project much like the first bloodlines which was an arcanum project that got the VTM IP added later its just their game reskinned for the IP using some of hard suits assets.

Part of the reason they left sumo digital was wanting to work on their own ips rather than be forced again to work on other studios projects, which is why danpinbeck refused to finish hard suits game despite as the new magazine says they have the code base from the mitsoda version what state it is really in we will never be allowed to know.

They are currently working on two new IP's which will probably be walking sims with some stealth and QuickTime events like still wakes the deep and even during development of bloodlines 2 they moved manpower over to still wakes to get it out the door so theirs no chance they will put those new project they want to work on on hold for this game to be reworked.

The people who wanted an action game are paradox themselves.
