Where can I find information on what the game update patches actually do?
And then where can I find information on whether I can keep playing my current games after patching?

You'd think this would be easy to find, but it's not. I searched the site and I tried searching the forums using the engine to no avail.

This is information that should be up front, on the site because it's basic game functionality.

Otherwise, keep up the great work!

you download the patch and there should be a readme with it.

You can re-load your current game with your new patch, but I would advise to re-start a new game to avoid any potential problems.
