OK, so lets talk business now: EU4 Beta.

Now that EU4 is officially announced, can you guys create a thread or something and give us dates for when you open Beta signups, i REALLY, REALLY dont wanna miss those. If you dont have those dates yet (cuz it seems like this is still in early development stages) approximate dates will do (for instance not before october etc).

Experience I suppose, PDS don't do Open Betas. And if the game is due Q3 2013 then closed beta won't be til next year and that will involve the usual sign ups that people can apply for that Humancalculator said.

I imagine you'll need either a) a track record with beta testing and b) a knowledge of the engine and how it works (and how the files affect it etc).

Exactly. You apply to be in the closed beta. Open Beta would be where you can sign up and get the beta relatively easily: like MMO's.
