British & Indian Order of Battle august 1914
Here is a first attempt at an order of battle for the 1914 scenario. So far this only includes British and Indian units. I hope I will be able to udate (edit) this page soon. My next step will be to study a map of India;-) I will also need feedback on the Territorial Army, whether it should start on map or on the reinforcement track. None of the units I listed so far have any attachments as it's not clear to me what approach to take in that respect (1st Division probably should have HQs for the BEF).

--- British Territorials ---
Consider making the following divisions reinforcements (allready paid for)
42nd through 56th Divisions
1st through 4th Mounted Divisions
else they might become available too early, but I can try and work out a realistic order of battle for these if consensus is to make them available early on (individual battalions and regiments from these units were deployed to France earlier then the divisions themselves)
--- General Notes ---
The following Regular Army divisions were formed after August 1914, but all their component units already existed, Guards, 7th, 8th, 27th, 28th and 29th Divisions. So I included them at start but at a lower establishment (33% of whatever is decided to be British Divisional strength). I deployed them in areas where part of their force were located in august 1914.
The same rule applies to 2nd and 3rd Cavalry Divisions.
For Indian Army Units I give the divisions deployed to France at a higher establishment (75%) then the others. I also immediately included the 4th and 5th Indian Cavalry Divisions for the same reasons. For some I don’t know the location they should start at (which is why I listed them under their HQ location rather then an actual Victoria province), unless we have someone familiar with India, I will try and find the correct provinces for these yet.
I have not yet included the Egyptian Army, it should be at very low establishment (so no player wishes to use them;-).
The Honk Kong, Singapore, Malta and Gibraltar Garrisons are somewhat fictive (no significant units remained there after the additional RA divisions were formed), but I think they should be included.
Lastly, enough manpower should be available at the start of the scenario to allow for the reinforcing of 5 of the 6 understrength RA divisions and the creation of 6 new divisions (K1 of the New Army). Likewise within the first few months enough additional manpower has to be accumulated to raise another 12 divisions (K2 and K3). All of that will require some tweaking of population numbers I expect. If this cannot be done, then at least the RA divisions would have to start at 75-100% establishment.
