We are continuing the open beta for 1.04. What we are mainly looking for are game breaking bugs that were introduced in 1.04. 1.04 does not fix everything that has been reported before. Read the change log to see what has been fixed. The download link is at the bottom of this post. You will need to extract it into the AOD folder.

Please post all issues with 1.04RC4 in this thread. Do not post them in the bug forum or make new threads.

Land combat balance ARM vs INF
Naval combat balance CV,SAG,SUB
Airport strike - with and without radar
New Allied Convoy System - you now pay for what you use -> this is done automatically when autoconvoys, but can be made manually too.
This should help keepig large formations supplied in allied countries with no own stock availible. (previus issue was USA defending gilbatrar after UK collapse)

Lower suprise modifier.
Radar in province or adjancent provinces now lowers suprise chance considerably
Runway cratering - damage against planes now scaled to target planes STR.
Fortress losses now only applied once, and this time correctly with scaling of combat damage and remaining forts.
Shortcut key for "goto" made 'G'
Convoy combat lowered a bit for surface fleet
Convoy: cannot sink more transports than are currently in province

RC4 Now open - as i have just finished a new ESEcalculation method please test that one out througly also
 
trade & transports

for example, scenario 1936, i play as com. china
i want to trade with japs. i need transports for this, though japan has provinces in eurasia continent(korea and others)

is it wad?

I think so because a majority of Japan stockpiles are in Japan and not on mainland Asia
 
Thanks Devs for putting out a new version so quickly, unfortunately I still can't get coup to work. I am starting to think that maybe something is wrong on my end. Has anyone else had any luck with this?
 
Problem with Event ID = 17?

The original version of the game seemed to have the Pearl Harbour attact fire as it should have. Ii stated :

scenario 1944, ussr
i want to trade with usa, but the trade screen says that miami is blocked:)
as i understand all convoys of ussr are automatically goes through Leningrad. german occupies denmark, thus convoys to usa are blocked.

maybe, trade ai should search all possibilities for trade routes?
 
one more issue with sending troops to the owner of the province

scenario 1939, japan
i accept chinese peace offer. my land divisions are being redeployed to tokyo, but ships are still at hainan's port and i can send them as expeditionary force to china:) (button at the division panel)

i haven't yet checked military access and sending troops, but am asking devs to look at this problem

May I ask what's the file "SetPermissions.exe", which is in the main folder of AoD 1.04 (both RC3 and RC4).

Is it necessary to run it ?

Its for those users with newer windows versions and having a very restrictive UAC setting. (The loader did not have permission to change the settings file)
To prevent the UAC to pop up every time the loader was started me made the SetPermissions as a seconday exe that requests UAC permission through the pop up and gives acess to the settings file to the loader once an for all.

The Event now works - but it seems the espionage fix didnt make it in RC4.
Will work in the release. ( just comitted the change )
 
I've SMIS as the checksum for v1.04 RC4 if that helps

Error with km/h, e.g. division speed is showing as 2.8 UNKNOWN STRING WANTED

Can anyone confirm this?
(might be UAC / installation problem?)
