I want to made an event regarding the Cologne War.

The Archbishop Gebhard converted to Calvinism and tried to secularize the Archbishopric into a dynastic duchy. In my events this would trigger immediately war with Bavaria and Spain. The conversion and the war-consequence is choice a because it happened in history. If Cologne would win this war (still existing and not losing Westphalia), there would be 4 protestant (Saxony, Brandenburg, Cologne, Palatinate) and 3 catholic (Bohemia (as part of Austria), Trier, Mainz) Electors. From 1588 on, the Electoral College would elect protestants as Emperors and not catholics. Now my question, would i go too far if i let Austria convert to protestantism if they are Emperor? Would i go too far if i would let all catholic Emperors from 1588 on convert to protestantism? No Thirty-Years-War because protestantism became the dominant religion?
