In 1936, Ethiopia was being invaded by the Italians, who wanted revenge for there earlier war against the last of the african nations. There plain had one major Flaw- they did`nt send enough divisions to fight.

The Africans were able to beat of the divisions sent in by italy, and secure territory on the coast. Peace was made on april 15.

With the first agressor against ethiopia beaten, will the knigdom be able to reform into a nations able to survive in the 20th Century?

Ethiopia was leaning towards the democratic nations of France and Great Britain, and so joined there alliance.

The king wanted strict neutrality, and open society, and democracy in his nation. It would take years to introduce such traits to ethiopia, but he would start it.

Neutrality was broken soon, as Japan declared war on the chinese warlords, and soon france, britain, and ethiopia were at there defence.

Japan was suisidal, and delcared war on the dutch and the american empire, bringing about 3/4ths of the world wanting to destory the japanesse.

Lol, Ethiopia beating the Italians. It's fun. IRL the Ethiopian army was useless, not trained for modern warfare and under the command of illoyal vassals (some of them defected to the Italians), not to mention Oromo and Gurage uprisings against the Amhara that made the war effort so much harder. On the positive side the Ethiopian clergy knew secret words that could curse Italian aircrafts and make the mighty Amharic warriors invincible.

That said, the Italians were quite useless themselves, no surprises there.

Gogo African AARs!! Yeay!!!

Excellent choice, there isn't a lot of Ethiopia AARs. I once tried to survive as them and actually did! But I allied the Allies and that made for a boring game.

With Jpaan at war, the ethiopians sneeked a fleet of transporets into japan and landed on the northern island.

Repelled.

The ethiopians attacked on the southern island, weeks after french capture of okinowa.

Repelled.

Then, startling, Portugal, persia, and italy sided with japan, and ethiopian was invaded.

Japan annexed ethiopia in mid 1938.

Quicker than my planned for Tibetan AAR. DoW Great Britain January 1st 36 and try and take out India.

Gosh! One day later and the AAR died with poor Ethiopia!

Nicely played!

I mean it. One gets tired of reading about 'I conquered this, then this, then this, and all of those.' Getting defeated is a change of pace to read about.

The question is: Did you learn anything? Is there anything you could have done differently to stop the Japanese onslaught?
