OSX startup issue - missing executable

Ran game through steam. Working.

started again later. Failure.

ran in safe mode... missing executable.

realized it was trying to access /Users/.../Library/.../contents/.../PrisonArchitect.app

when the executable was in Prison Architect.app (with a space).

copied whole directory/app. Added a space in copy. Ran in safe mode.

works now.

you guys have a conflict where something is expecting prisonarchitect.app and something else is expecting a space between prison and architect. “Prison architect.app”. Working for me now but FYI.

I can't account for your experience ... I run this game every few days on my iMac and I've never had this happen!

In my installation the Steam folder is Prison Architect, the app is PrisonArchitect.app, and the executable in that package is PrisonArchitect.

renaming the package worked for me - tysm!
