Playing over a LAN with a wired router, my brother and I keep experiencing out of sync errors despite starting the game fresh. Both systems are well above the requirements for the game and have no problems with other games, even Paradox. Hearts of Iron 2 runs flawlessly over our LAN for instance.

Any suggestions as to what might cause this?

You have all the requisite ports open, both have the latest patch, and no mods (or at least same checksum)?

No mods, latest patch, everything open. Oddly enough, shortly after posting the problem we started a new game after restarting our computers and we played for hours with no problems. VERY odd. Only thing I can think of is that Norton Antivirus' worm protection was somehow interfering with the game.

Yeah, my friend and i had the same problem. If you are getting out of sync, have both comps shut-down and restart to totally flush your ram out. It worked for us anyway. There might be a memory leak or something that they havn't ironed out yet.
