After clicking on "Play" ("Jouer" on the screen), the antivirus detected the launcher as a virus and deleted it.

I reinstall the Paradox Launcher, and got the same issue.

Log report from the antivirus in attached files below.

It's a false positive and the launcher is perfectly safe. This sometimes happens after we update the launcher to a newer version as AV programs don't always keep up with the change and it takes a few days for them to register it.

Thank you for your quick answer :)

I'm aware of this latency between AV software and other apps, but its the first time it happen to my AV.

Until then, I just deactivate the "Behavioral Protection" while playing the game.

I've seen two other reports of this with the new launcher version, and Norton's only. Please report it to them as a false positive, thanks.

Meanwhile you may be able to copy an older Paradox Launcher.exe into the 2025.1 folder where that problem one is, to get past it.

With Norton AV, every major game update make me re-add it to the allowed programs. Sometimes it is the launcher, sometimes the game exe.
