Hi. :)

I'm having a problem starting Stellaris on my new computer running openSUSE Tumbleweed and would be grateful if you could help me.

I installed Stellaris via Steam, but the game fails to start. I can't even see the Paradox launcher, as when I click on "play" on Steam, the button changes to "cancel" for a quarter of a second and then back to "play", meaning, I guess, that the Paradox launcher has crashed before even showing me any windows.

I've tried deleting all the files in my user folder that might belong to the Paradox Launcher, I've checked the integrity of the game files via Steam, reinstalled it completely, but it doesn't make any difference. In fact, these start-up failures don't seem to leave any traces, since they don't create any of the following folders:
~/.paradoxlauncher
~/.local/share/Paradox Interactive/

So I don't know what to share with you in order to understand the cause of the problem. Could you help me to fix it?

Thank you in advance.

On exploring the Stellaris installation folder, I notice that it's full of .exe .msi and .dll files, which I think are Windows files. I can't find an installer for the Paradox launcher for Linux, or even the Linux executable for Stellaris.
Is this normal?

After reinstalling for the umpteenth time, Steam has finally installed the Linux version of the game. I don't know what caused the Windows version of the game to be installed, but that problem has been solved. :)
