Hi!
Problem: I used the this new resume option from the launcher to continue my last game, but it used an earlier state of my game, I "lost" 70 years. Of coures it was ironman so it overwrited the original one.
Mods: I use mods, but only graphical ones (new emblems, whiter stars etc), my game is ironman compatible and none of my mods were newly installed

I rage deleted my save game :p:), so there wont be any solution for me now, but I hope this problem will be solved!

mmm seems there is an issue with the launcher "resume" and if you have the same name on a cloudsave and a local one, does this fit what happened to you or is the "resume" just totally broken?

The resume button works, it started my game well, but loaded in an old save file of my current playthrough. As it was an ironman game it automatically overwrited the latest save.
Maybe the problem is what you suggest, that the resume option can not differentiate the local and cloudsave files and scruw up, but where did it find the old saved game? I play ironman, shouldn't it mean that there is only one saved file?

Yes and no, i mean cloud and local saves might have the same name and they are at 2 different locations... sure for IM you should just have 1 save but that might be another bug lol

Problem: I had the same happen here. I have a copy of the save in question. The lost save has a lot of my time invested in it. It would be lovely to get back to the 2462 year instead of the 2424 I now come to.

Edit: The resume button showed the correct year when I pressed it so didn't really worry about it.

Details to recover the cloud save of my game would be of great help?

I think the launcher resume feature should be pulled and fast. This will be frustrating for the ones affected.

It is nice to know how deceptive this function can be. I will certainly avoid it!
I have no clue how to get back lost save. :(
A hot fix would be nice!

Hello!
Not sure this issue was fixed, or it may be back. I used the launcher to resume my on-going game and it loaded the state of the game at a previous state, same as OP.
I run the lastest version 3.3.4 with all DLCs and no mods

I don't recall other reports in the 2.5 years since this thread was last updated.

Is this happening every time for you, some times, or just once?

Ironman and non-ironman? Cloud and local saves?

Does it affect other games that use the same launcher, such as EU4?

Hello Andrew,

Just got back to Stellaris a few days back and it happened once for now. Ironman save, local.
I have not played much of the other Paradox's games in the last few months so I couldn't say

I don't remember offhand if this is one of the games that doesn't show Ironman games in Resume.

I guess I'd suggest simply not using it in future, just in case.
