Hello Paradox,

Please fix your "Paradox Launcher v2" Launcher - it is currently not fit for purpose or working as I assume you intend it to.

I assume that all the games should work and play through the 1 Launcher - all showing on there with the store as well?

Currently - if I open Paradox Launcher v2 - It shows 3 Games, but they need Installing despite being installed...

If I go through Stellaris/CK3 Shortcut - it works fine but only shows that 1 game.

Please fix - having all Paradox Games on 1 Launcher would help tremendously.

Alternatively, if the games launch seperates, please remove the need for us to download a broken Launcher when the games already have working Launchers associated to them.

While some players have problems with the launcher from time to time, by no means is it broken - it works fine for the vast majority of users.

If you run the launcher in standalone mode, it does not find the games installed under Steam because the exact purpose of that mode is for non-Steam users. So yes, you'd need to install them separately if you want to run the games that way. Additionally only games from Stellaris onwards were ever ported to that platform, earlier ones such as EU4 and CK2 were not, and must be played from Steam as before.

Looking at your screenshots I don't see any actual problem there though, only those matters I've covered above. What problem are you seeing with the launcher when run from the PLAY button in Steam?

Hello Andrew,

Thanks for your response.

If I try playing the game directly through Steam, I get the same "Resume & Play" as I would if I clicked directly on the CK3 Shortcut.

My concern was, it seemed strange that the Launcher V2 needs to be installed, when it fundamentally doesn't do anything other than say Stellaris, Battletech & CK3 need to be installed again - yet if I delete the Launcher V2, Stellaris, Battletech & CK3 won't load via there own shortcuts and it will immediately download the Launcher again.

I wasn't aware of how the Launcher worked and why it didn't pick-up games that were already installed, but your response has cleared thaty up for me - is there no way to make it so it will pickup Steam Installed Games?

When run in standalone mode it does not find Steam-installed games because that mode is intended for non-Steam users.

It is the same launcher you see when you run any of these games from the Steam PLAY button, just run in a different mode.

Just search here on the forum: "launcher" and u will see the "vast majority of users" with issues :)

This launcher has a bad Java code implementation that cause a lot of UNEXPECTED TOKEN when the scenary is not ideal one.

I have to Uninstall and Reinstall it using "launcher-installer-windows.msi" (as workaround) every time i want to play ur games, its RIDICULOUS.
