The launcher fails to install because it insists that the installation directory is not a local hard drive.

I have uninstalled stellaris deleting all the files on my computer, I have even gone as far as deleting all the Paradox files on my pc and it still doesn't work; I have followed step by step the different steps given by other reports of this type of failure in the forums, but none have managed to work for me.

You may have to use free utilities like Ccleaner and Revo Uninstaller to make sure all mention of the launcher is gone, including from the registry, before re-installing.

good luck!

The problem was solved until I turned off the computer, when I wanted to resume my games, the launcher said that although there was one installed, it did not detect it and if I wanted to reinstall it, it could neither repair the existing one nor reinstall it, because it insists that my hard drive is not a hard drive.

Even though I uninstalled all my Paradox games and cleaned my computer of everything that had stellaris or paradox on it, reinstalling stellaris just causes the launcher to continue not wanting to install because it doesn't have a location on the hard drive.

I will keep all my Paradox products uninstalled and my computer clean of any Paradox related files until this is permanently fixed

What if you make a new Windows user and log into it with that, do you get the same issue when the launcher tries to install then?
