New “Dark Mode” Upgrade Adds More Genuine Subterranean Lighting
NEW YORK — Dec 14 2012 — Paradox Interactive is conducting an experiment to see if dwarves are scared of the dark by adding new atmospheric lighting to A Game of Dwarves, their fantasy mine-management title. “Dark Mode,” an optional new game setting, is being added for free to A Game of Dwarves, and will plunge all in-game mines into pitch black darkness, illuminated only by players’ construction of braziers and torches for a more realistic challenge. Without adequate lighting, players may not see the monster awaiting them in the next cavern, or a trapped dwarf in need of rescue, requiring them to consider optimal illumination techniques as they build and expand their mines.
Dark Mode is a free addition to A Game of Dwarves and will be applied through a downloaded update. The mode is entirely optional, in case some players are easily frightened.
A Game of Dwarves is available for $9.99 and can be purchased from leading digital distribution platforms listed on the official game site here: http://www.agameofdwarves.com/buy
