Here is a link to an article by RPS. It ask Fredrick and Johan about things related to the thread title. Personally it's a topic I've been extremely interested in and there are some interesting tid bits. A few things I found most interesting
*Clarification that expansions rather than sequels are preferred. "“There would have to be a reason to make sequels, and a killer unique selling point. We wouldn’t make a sequel just for the sake of it. Updated graphics would not be a selling point in itself. It has to have a reason to exist, and we need to feel we can’t make those changes in the existing titles." - Johan
*Interesting points (atleast for layman like me) that working on existing games lets you test out concepts sooner than you would making a new game and keeps the creatives happy in that regard.
*Acknowledgement that Paradox is a lot larger, maybe hints at growing pains or nostalgia for good ol' days but I got the impression they were happy with their increased production abilities.
*Acknowledgement that PDS doesn't announce things before the core pillars as they call it is surely fun unlike what has happened previously.
*Some possible pet projects of Johan may be a football manager game and he still wants to do an RPG. Wester is proud of the white wolf IP acquisition.
*RPG sometime in the future is likely but no indication when.
*Some history about Johan and Wester aswell as the odd reference to work environment and responsibilities.
Anyway that's enough tidbits, found it interesting personally. Always glad to read about my favourite development studio and thought you guys might too.
