So after only 200 hours I noticed that one of the PDX sponsor's supposed bonus is:
"Discover more Breakthrough Anomalies"

I thought you always get exactly 19 breakthroughs per game, regardless of sponsor.
What am I missing?

Since anomalies don't change locations its very easy to see the difference. Just load up a map as IMM with a full cargo of probes. Scan the map. Note locations of breakthrough anomalies. Do the same with PDX. You'll see there are 2 anomalies there that IMM didn't have.

Ahh, you're probably right, thanks.
I don't remember seeing less than 19 in any of my finished games. According to the pdx wiki as well it's 19 in every game, but I guess that's wrong then.
Gonna keep an eye on it from now on.
