Hello, everyone! Paradox Interactive hereby invites you to join us for a livestream next week in connection with the publication of the company’s year-end report for January to December for the fiscal year 2021. Fredrik Wester, our CEO, and Alexander Bricca, our CFO, will host the livestream on Paradox Interactive’s YouTube channel, present the quarter’s results, and answer questions related to the report and the company’s financial performance.

Date: February 22 2022
Time: 12:00 PM Stockholm Time
Link: https://youtube.com/paradoxinteractive

The interim report will be published at 08:00 CET on the same date, February 22, and will be available at https://www.paradoxinteractive.com/investors.

Questions may be submitted in advance via our forum or by e-mailing them to ir@paradoxinteractive.com. Please note that it will also be possible to e-mail questions during the presentation. If you miss the presentation, it will be posted on Paradox’s YouTube channel at a later time.

Hope to see you there!

Three questions:

1) Considering the success of Hearts of Iron: No Step Back, and the popularity of the Hearts of Iron game (whether it be for ill or positive reasons) have further resources been allocated for that development team to reduce further development time, while retaining quality.

2) Is there any information on PDXCON available yet? Any hints?

3) After reading the External Report on Studio Culture, the two things that struck me were: a) The prevalence of the response "I don't know" to a lot of the questions on the survey ; and b) The higher rate of abuse and harassment by fans and customers. What is PDX doing to improve employee understanding of what harassment and workplace abuse is and looks like, along with making the rule and policy's more clear for fans join or on the forums. (I've always been a fan of the idea of having people read the Rules and Policies, then answering some basic questions about them, before they join.)

1) Tencent raised its stake in paradox from 5% to 8,5%. Can you give us more information on whether there is a bigger plan behind this?
has the communication or relationship with Tencent changed?

2) We have seen a lot of change in staff during the last 12 months (management and non-management) what are your plans to ensure good talent acquisition and retention?

3) Are you satisfied with the progress in, not-yet-announced titles?

1) In the interim report for January-September 2021, CEO Fredrik Wester alluded to the difficulties in core franchise development, to which a large share of Paradox Interactive's revenue has historically been attributable. As many fans and investors may note, across all core franchises there has been a notable slowdown in the release of additional content. Have any concrete actions been taken internally since then to reverse this trend, so that investors and customers alike can see a return to more regular paid expansion content releases?

2) In relation to the above question, as of yet there appears to be little in the way of revenue generation around core franchises publicly announced for this year so far. The upcoming flagship title, Victoria 3, has yet to publicly solidify a window of release, and so far no plans for expansion content for any of the core titles (Stellaris, Europa Universalis, Crusader Kings, Hearts of Iron) have been publicly announced. Acknowledging that it is still early in the year and that two of the aforementioned franchises have recently come off major expansions, is Paradox Interactive confident that it can release a strong lineup of core franchise products throughout 2022 to maintain a growth in revenue as well as a growth in playerbase?

3) Paradox Tinto, one of Paradox Interactive's younger development studios, has been subject to critical reception since it released its first products as expansions to Europa Universalis 4 in 2021. Whilst these struggles have been thoroughly acknowledged, many within the fanbase of the Europa Universalis franchise, including major video game jouranlists at IGN, have noted that the franchise appears to have stagnated and run its course with its current (now 8.5 year old) title. Can you speak to these concerns, and can you comment on any plans for the future of this franchise and what it may entail?
