Can anyone tell me about skills like Area Lore. Do they apply, like other abilities, to only the hero concerned and the whole stack if he is commander? Or does ANYONE in the stack grant the bonus. The tooltip is unclear.

Considering it does not have the 'Leader' icon in its icon (if you notice leader skills have a little leader icon in the top left corner of its icon), a very good guess would be to say it applies to the army regardless of weither the hero is leader or not.
