Patch 1.02 does not work on DH

Okay I downloaded the zip file 4 times now installed it 8 times on a DH patch 1.02 to play IC and every single time it loads it crashes. Here are some screenshots. Please fix this can’t believe Paradox released this saying it works with DH when it clearly doesn’t. Back to EU3 till this gets resolved!

EDIT 1: Okay I figured it out corrupt file in the download plus for some reason my IC platform was corrupt as well, wth is up with gamersgate! Sorry guys this is my f up not yours or should I say gamersgate or maybe my ISP who knows, reinstalling everything from scratch again! Will update if this works.

EDIT 2: Finally it works I jumped the gun with the wrong directory in the first screenshots because I thought I already had IC loaded on DH but that was the vanilla version only of DH so my apologies for my behavior. I am to blame for my mistake here! Thanks again to all! :wacko:

You must apply patch 1.01 and then patch 1.02 for it to work on DH. Like I mentioned in my haste I had a vanilla DH 1.02 running and forgot to load the IC on it which I thought I had done a few days prior but I ended up putting that on my 2nd copy of DH 1.01 to play.

Its all so dam confusing at times with 3 different HOI2 engine games and all the mods that are out there to remember which link is to what and vis versa.

Try doing a clean install of DH and patch it up to 1.02 then install IC and patch it with 1.01 and 1.02. You can ignore the rev 7 of IC as I am almost certain that 1.01 includes that stuff. If I am wrong then its all 3 of them.

I have had no issues loading the game or running a 1933 scenario though I have actually had no time to play the game, plus I am hooked on EU3 atm because I had to wait so long for IC crew to get this done! :p

I followed your install instructions. it seems 1.01 is implemented in 1.02 already. I get the same checksum - and the freeze. What's your checksum?

Btw, does anybody know how I can clean-up my attachments?

Okay my checksum for IC 1.02 with DH 1.02 is ZJKM. I just started the game up as Germany ran for a month to see if anything happened strange everything looks fine so far. Attachments? Not sure what you mean by this question. Please re-word it or re-phrase it for us English only speaking people! hehe! jk :p

Ok, then I do anything wrong.

Did you ever attached a file to one of your posts? These files are saved in an archive. You're allowed to have 20 files or so in your archive. But I don't know how I could delete files in this archive.
 
DH + IC Checksum:
DH 1.02 Full -> KPNA
DH 1.02 Light -> TXBL
DH 1.02 + Iron Cross 1.00 + Iron Cross 1.02 -> ZJKM

Well you have to first install DH and patch it to 1.02.
Then install IC, then patch it to 1.01 then patch to 1.02.
Start DH up and select the IC mod from the drop down box in lower right of window.

You should get IC to run and it will say DH 1.02 under it with the checksum: ZJKM

Check my screenshot! This is the correct setup. Good luck!

well, i didnt patched to 1.01 first
i will try it out immedeatly

edit: still get ALSH altough i installed IC 1.0 -> IC 1.1 -> IC 1.2

maybe i have a corrupt DH version, i will reinstall later and see if it works

edit2: did a reinstall of dh 1.02 and it still dont work, i dont know what iam doing wrong

Try doing this: 1) Install DH, then patch it to 1.01 then to 1.02 2) Then install IC, patch it to 1.01 then 1.02

Only thing I can think of is that maybe one of the patches could be corrupt? Are you installing IC into DH "Mod" folder?

Hope this works for you, if not well I dont know what else to say. You could get lucky if someone else might have more insight but sadly I dont think many care about the DH + IC combo. Too many busy with Arma + IC because of the new stuff. I want my game compatible with DH developers! Would be nice if you all responded to the issue I posted about Upgrade Path Option not working in DH + IC! Pretty sure its crickets in IC dev team right now. :sad:
 
That is correct for DH 1.02.
My guess is that something went wrong while installing IC or the IC patch. I guess that it's a problem of selecting the correct folder.
I am not 100% sure, but I believe you have to select the DH folder (\Darkest Hour\) and not the Mods subfolder (\Darkest Hour\Mods\) during the installation of both IC and its patch.
But you said that you already checked that, so I am giving another guess, that you have a corrupted patch file, try downloading it again.

Sorry but I don't have other ideas.
 
Sorry, it's an easy mistake to do.
As I said, my best guess is that you have downloaded a corrupted file, as the correct checksum for DH 1.02 + Iron Cross 1.02 is ZJKM (but your checksum for DH1.02 is correct, so that at least is working).
