I want to give the devs time to improve on the game and I'm sure they are working on more improvements as we speak, some changes coming in now might even be temporarily. But some changes from patch #1 caught my eye and just didn't connect with me.

The changes seem to miss the issue or just feel like a work around, as mentioned this could be a temporarily fix. The first one is the most important one to me and really needs to be looked at again please!

- UI: Voice notification for Pipe leaks/Cable faults disabled for colonies with over 100 colonists
-Why/how I think this will impact gameplay negatively:
This is really one that sticks out to me. So now after reaching 100 colonists a feedback loop on something that definitely impacts gameplay is disabled. Giving less feedback to a player on something that has been important up to that milestone doesn't suddenly become less important, and I think this will create a lot of frustration as players continue to expand and leaks occur when there are no resources or drones available.
-Does it solve the issue it was trying to address?:
The issue it's trying to address isn't solved because up to 100 colonists which (depending on difficulty) can still take a lot of time while this voice message keeps playing.
-Proposal for solution/improvement:
I would suggest the following. When a leak/break occurs check if the break/leak is in an active service area and if the required resource is available. If it is the voice message does not play as it will be fixed. If the leak/break occurs outside an active service area or the resource is not available to the drones in that service area. Then play the voice message, as it requires the players attention and action to be taken.

-UI: Research dialog now scrollable with mouse wheel and camera controls, saves last position on close
-Why/how I think this will impact gameplay negatively:
I don't think it's a bad thing, but I do think there should be even more options, for me doesn't feel intuitive.
-Does it solve the issue it was trying to address?:
This one is hard to measure at it can be very subjective. But I don't think it really reaches it's potential as a scrolling research screen that expands horizontally.
-Proposal for solution/improvement:
Add mouse drag to the research screen! Looking at how competitor games do this, it just feels right and there is a standard already set. That has been proven both functional and recognisable. Hold mouse button and drag left and right. Just as an added option next to scrolling.

-UI: Colonists with special traits are pinned to the menu bar, only when there are less than 100 colonists in the colony
I'm not going to cover this too much, and paradox if you read and disagree please let me know. But there will be a lot more changes in the future on management of colonists. Which will come with more UI changes on this, and I don't think this solution will matter when that comes in. The reason I mention it, is because I feel this can be frustrating when a hard milestone cuts off a feature you were using.

Thanks for reading, if you agree or disagree please let me know, post it below and have a healthy discussion.
